to identifying the event, and determining whether it makes sense for the firm or

in advance: What are the overall goals? Is the purpose to go after prospective clients
or to solidify relationships with existing clients? Who is the target market and
how easy will it be to identify and reach them? What’s in it for the audience? What’s
the pre and post-event follow up plan? Planning for a seminar or other special event
